For God's Glory
The aim of our worship - and everything we do - is God's glory.
For the Good of God's People
We seek to equip, exhort, and encourage one another in the gospel so we are prepared to follow Christ.
With Reverence and Joy
We take God and His Word seriously, but this reverence must be tinged with joy as we revel in how God has saved us through Christ!
With Biblical Substance
As a church committed to the preaching of God's Word and prayer, we carefully expound the Bible so that the gospel can be clearly known and fully enjoyed.
We aim for content and style that is understandable, excellent, and undistracting.
Good Shepherd's Philosophy of Worship:
We aim to worship God in the manner He desires to be worshiped, which he has revealed to us in the Holy Scriptures. Therefore, we have a simple service focused on faithfully reading and preaching God's Word, singing God's Word in biblically and theologically substantial songs, praying God's Word in prayers of adoration, confession, and intercession, seeing God's Word as we participate in the Sacraments, and fellowshipping together. It is our hope and prayer that our worship will please and glorify our God, exhort and edify God's people, and direct unbelievers to salvation in Christ.
